COVID-19 Update

UPDATED 20 April 2020

Q Skin Clinic provides an essential service for the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care of patients affected by skin cancer.

This essential service includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other high-risk skin cancers
  • Surgical treatment
  • Post-operative care

Unfortunately, the rates of skin cancer do not alter during a viral pandemic, so it is important that we continue our duty of care and management of other health issues during this period.

We are following all Government recommendations and advise the following :

  • Patients 70 years of age or older are requested not to attend the clinic however they will be offered telehealth consults.
  • Patients requiring surgery are requested to contact the clinic to confirm that they are well, have not traveled or had contact with anyone who has traveled before they attend the practice.
  • Patients who have a new or changing lesion that they are concerned about and are unable to attend the clinic due to self-isolation will be required to contact the clinic to discuss telehealth consult options.
  • Telehealth consults will be offered to all patients.  Practice Managers to liaise with doctors on how they would like these consults scheduled in their diaries.

For Your safety, should you to attend our clinic in the coming weeks:

  • Our medical staff are now wearing surgical masks all the time
  • We are frequently sanitising all surfaces and handles (that you might come into contact with) with hospital grade disinfectant
  • All staff are sanitising hands between every patient
  • We have increased the distance between waiting room chairs.
  • We have hand sanitiser available for your use in-clinic
